Fayola John

Fayola John came into the lash industry knowing very little about it. What changed her direction was seeing the difference eyelash extensions made to the women around her — not only in how they looked, but in how much easier their mornings became and how much more confident they felt. That was enough to make her want to be part of it. She began her lash journey in 2023 and invested early in professional education, training through LashHubTT and Lash 360 before opening Fairy Godmother Studio in Mt Hope.

She became an educator in 2026, and her teaching reflects how she works: detailed, precise and unhurried. She prioritises fundamentals and quality over speed, and makes a point of explaining the reasoning behind every step rather than only the method. Her Intensive 1:1 Lash Training Program runs over four days as private, in-person training, covering hygiene and sanitation, adhesives and retention, classic and volume techniques, lash mapping, styling, removals and business fundamentals. She works to keep the room a place where students can ask questions and make mistakes without pressure, because she believes confidence is built rather than taught.

Fairy Godmother Studio has grown well beyond lash services. Fayola has opened a storefront, developed her own lash shampoo to help clients with aftercare and retention, and partnered with a nail technician to build a beauty hub where several services sit under one roof. Her degree in psychology feeds directly into how she approaches consultations and teaching, and she describes herself as a lifelong student of the industry — still learning as techniques and trends continue to change.
